Ho Chi Minh City

The Spanish group signed four properties in the country.

Meliá Hotels International enters into two popular destinations of Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh, known as an important financial city, and the bay of Halong, which is more popular with tourists.

Ho Chi Minh will welcome Meliá Saigon central (159 rooms upon completion), INNSIDE Saigon Central (72 rooms) and INNSIDE Saigon Mariamman (115 rooms). The bay of Halong will host the INNSIDE Halong Bay (251 rooms).

With the addition of these hotels, Meliá will have ten hotels in Vietnam.

The company aims to strengthen its presence with the INNSIDE by Meliá and Meliá Hotels & Resorts brands. The group also takes advantage of the country's growing assets: rising affluence, improved infrastructure and increased flight connectivity.

As of January 1, 2017, Meliá Hotels International ranked 21st hotel group worldwide with 218 properties totaling over 65,900 rooms, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
