Owned by Asset World Corporation and launched by Meliá Hotels International, a 260-key hotel near the Ping River in Chiang Mai is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2021.

Meliá Chiang Mai will consist of a 22-story tower and a seven-story podium building. It will feature two restaurants, two bars, two lounges (including an executive lounge on the twenty-first floor), Meliá's YHI Spa with seven treatment rooms, a fitness center, a swimming pool, a ballroom and four meeting spaces. A rooftop bar, the tallest in the city, will feature two bars connected by a glass bridge. 

Of the 260 rooms, 38 of them, as well as six suites, will belong to "The Level," a higher level of service and benefits, which includes access to the executive lounge. 

 The Meliá Koh Samui debuted in January 2020, and INNSiDE by Meliá Bangkok is scheduled to open in 2022.
