Meliá Hotels International announces the expansion of its portfolio with the incorporation of the Velipoja Grand Europa Resort Affiliated by Meliá, consolidating its presence on the Albanian coast.

This expansion marks a milestone in Meliá's growth strategy in Albania, where the hotel chain already operates four properties and plans to open a further fifteen. Among these future projects is the Zel Vlora hotel, a joint initiative with the famous tennis player Rafa Nadal, which underlines Meliá's commitment to the development of Albanian tourism.

Located on the seafront in the Velipoja region, the Velipoja Grand Europa Resort has 110 rooms and offers a range of facilities including several swimming pools, a water park, a large gym and a spa with heated indoor pool. The gastronomic offer includes two à la carte restaurants and a Beach Club.

This strategic addition not only strengthens the Spanish company's position in Mediterranean destinations, but also its role in the tourism development of Albania, a destination that is becoming increasingly popular for its tourism potential.

Meliá also continues to expand its Affiliated by Meliá model with more than 70 establishments worldwide, offering independent hotels the advantages of distribution, loyalty and other adapted services. This strategy allows the company to grow in key destinations while supporting local hotels.
