The Mena House rebrands as Marriott Mena House, Cairo.

Marriott Hotels announced the rebranding of the legendary Mena House, a historic palace which has played host to kings and emperors, as Marriott Mena House, Cairo.

The Marriott Mena House, Cairo comprises 331 luxury rooms and suites, many boasting views of the Pyramids. Transforming itself for mobile and global travelers, the hotel offers mobile guest services such as a mobile check-in.

Marriott International declares to operate 19 hotels with over 7,000 rooms in Egypt including JW Marriott, the Ritz-Carlton, le Meridien, Marriott Hotels, Renaissance Hotels, Sheraton and Westin. Alex Kyriakidis, President and Managing Director, Middle East and Africa, Marriott International, confirmed that Egypt would continue to be a strategic growth market for Marriott. The company hopes to strengthen its presence in Egypt over the next 3 to 5 years.

As of January 1, 2017, Marriott group ranked leading hotel group worldwide with 5,997 properties totaling more than 1,169,000 rooms, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
