The company announced its intention to open almost 40 luxury hotels next year.
As Marriott International continues to meet the needs of new affluent travellers, the company has decided to expand its portfolio. Marriott International Luxury Brands plans hotels openings through its hospitality hallmarks: The Ritz-Carlton, Ritz-Carlton Reserve, St. Regis, W Hotels, The Luxury Collection, EDITION and JW Marriott.
“From former palaces in Venice and Vienna, to skyscrapers in Hong Kong and Dubai to intimate, remote escapes in the Maldives and Mexico,” says Tina Edmundson, Marriott International’s Global Brand Officer, the company is willing to offer a large variety of travel experiences.
As of January 1, 2017, Marriott International ranked 1st worldwide hotel group with 5,997 establishments totaling over 1,169,000 rooms, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
