Following extensive renovation work, the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is opening its third establishment in Switzerland.
The history of the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich, dates back to 1838, when the Hotel Baur was opened by Johannes Baur, an Austrian baker.
Nestled on Paradeplatz, close to Bahnhofstrasse and the Old Town, the hotel offers 36 rooms and 44 suites, some with large terraces and private rooftops. Parisian interior designer Tristan Auer led the refurbishment, harmonising historic elements with contemporary style.
Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich, offers a diverse culinary experience with four restaurants and bars, including the rooftop bar 1838, led by Executive Chef Benjamin Halat. Savoy Brasserie & Bar offers French and Swiss cuisine, while ORSINI, a gourmet Italian restaurant, is the work of chef Antonio Guida.
With over 700 square metres of event space, including ten fully-equipped rooms, the hotel can accommodate a wide range of events, from weddings to corporate seminars.
