Mandarin Oriental Mayfair

Mandarin Oriental has opened the doors of its second hotel in London, the Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, in historic Hanover Square.

The new property offers 50 rooms and suites, as well as 77 private residences, complementing the already established Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park offering in the UK capital.

Designed by architects Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, Mandarin Oriental Mayfair is the first new building in Mayfair for over a decade. Its architecture features a contemporary red brick façade, inspired by the surrounding Georgian structures.

Inside, British studio Indigo has fused Mandarin Oriental's Asian influences with elements of London design. Rooms feature rich hues such as emerald green and burgundy, with a variety of materials including wood, marble, and touches of brass and bronze. Hand-painted silk panels by Maison de Gournay add a distinctive touch with their magnolia motifs.

The ‘Akira Back’ restaurant presents the first London table of the eponymous chef, known for his inventive cuisine, notably his AB Tuna pizza. Dosa offers a contemporary Korean dining experience for 14 guests. The hotel also boasts the ABar Lounge and the ABar Rooftop will open soon, offering panoramic views over London.

The hotel spa offers a variety of traditional and innovative treatments and includes a 25-metre indoor pool, sauna, vitality pools and fitness centre.

The Mandarin Oriental group is present in 25 countries with 38 hotels, 11 residences and 23 Exclusive Homes, Mandarin Oriental continues its global expansion with many new projects underway.
