As part of its global expansion, Mama Shelter will open its doors in Rennes, Dijon and Nice in France, as well as Dubai, Medellín and Zurich.
Each hotel will pay homage to the local culture, and they will will pop up in the new cities by the end of 2024, bringing with it a vibrant and offbeat experiences specific to the lifestyle segment.
Mama Shelter Rennes, France
Set to open in March 2023, the hotel will be centrally located just a few steps from Place des Lices and the famous rue de la Soif, Mama Shelter Rennes will home to the first ever Mama Skin Spa. The property will feature 119 bedrooms, five workshops, a restaurant, a swimming pool, several karaoke rooms as well as the city’s first rooftop bar with views of medieval towers.
Mama Shelter Dijon, France
Set to open in June 2023, the hotel will feature 120 rooms across five floors, Mama Shelter Dijon’s house restaurant, CineMama, the hotel’s very-own private cinema and a petanque court allowing guests to enjoy memorable moments.
Mama Shelter Nice, France
Set to open in June 2024 and heading to the French Riviera, the hotel will be located near to the city’s mythical Old Port, in the central district of Riquier. The property will be connected to the rest of the city by tram and train, and will have 102 colourful rooms.
Mama Shelter Zurich, Switzerland
Set to open in November 2024, the hotel will be Mama’s first outpost in Switzerland. With 178 rooms located in the lively shopping district of Oerlikon, the Hallenstadion, where concerts and major sporting events take place, Messe Zürich exhibition centre and Theatre 11 Zürich, known for hosting Broadway shows, are right on the property’s doorstep.
Mama Shelter Dubai, UAE
Set top open late 2023, the hotel will be the first brand’s property in the Middle East. It will be home to 197 rooms and 204 apartments, a range of dining outlets, a terrace with four swimming pools, an outdoor CineMama and more. It will be a larger-than-life Mama that embodies the idea of a resort in the heart of the city.
Mama Shelter Medellín, Colombia
Set top open early 2024, the hotel will be located in the heart of the El Poblado district. The first Colombian Mama will have 150 rooms, a restaurant, a bar, more than 3,000 m2 of coworking space, 500 m2 of meeting rooms, and a swimming pool located on the first floor of the rooftop.
