Despite the health crisis, Louvre Hotels Group is continuing its international expansion and plans to add 47 hotels to its portfolio, representing nearly 7,000 rooms, in Saudi Arabia via the Campanile, Golden Tulip and Tulip Inn brands. The aim is to establish these flagship brands at the heart of a booming tourism market.
In 2021, five hotels under the group's 3* and 4* brands will be inaugurated in the heart of various strategic destinations in Saudi Arabia:
- The Golden Tulip Riyadh (94 rooms) and The Golden Tulip Unaizah (84 rooms) in Q1 2021,
- The Tulip Inn Dammam Corniche (70 rooms) in Q3,
- The Golden Tulip Umm Al Qurah (454 rooms) in Mecca in the 4th quarter.
The Campanile brand will also be added to the range of hotels offered by Louvre Hotels Group, which already has 16 hotels among the most popular leisure, cultural and urban destinations in Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia aims to attract more than 100 million visitors by 2030 and Louvre Hotels Group's midscale and upscale brands represent a new market segment in this region.
With the opening of some 50 hotels by 2025, Louvre Hotels Group is helping to create more than 3,500 local jobs in the tourism sector.
Saudi Arabia is a strategic market for our international development, particularly because of the importance it places on tourism and the extraordinary choice of destinations it offers. We are very excited about the launch of Campanile, our midscale brand, in this region, as we want to introduce an innovative and affordable offer to satisfy our local customers and international tourists.
