French fashion brand Louis Vuitton is making a foray into the luxury hotel sector with plans to open in 2026 at 103-111 Avenue des Champs-Élysées.
The future Louis Vuitton luxury hotel will be located next to the brand's largest shop on the avenue, covering an area of 6,000 square metres.
The site, occupied for twenty years by the HSBC bank, was originally intended to house a new Dior flagship shop. Its history dates back to 1898, when it was already operating as a hotel. Over the years, the building has been used for a variety of purposes.
The building's Haussmann-style façade will undergo an architectural transformation, reminiscent of the brand's trunks. During the construction phase, a gigantic Monogram trunk will adorn the façade.
Industry experts suggest that Louis Vuitton could pay a substantial annual rent of around 60 million euros to occupy this address.
Louis Vuitton's choice of Paris for its inaugural hotel reinforces the brand's deep French roots. The decision also symbolises a strategic shift for the LVMH group, traditionally known for testing its concepts in Asia, notably Japan and South Korea.
