Líbere Hospitality, a chain of hostels owned by All Iron, is unveiling a new address for up to 116 people in the heart of the Basque Country.
The Natitly Bilbao Eco House opened on 18 May 2022 in the city of Bilbao. The new property has two floors with 14 rooms, both shared and private, and fourteen common rooms, as well as other shared spaces, such as lounges and a kitchen.
The architectural project for the Naitly Bilbao Eco House was designed by Oneka Arquitectura. The building, a former workshop with an area of 750 square metres, is located in one of the most authentic and culturally dynamic areas of Bilbao.
The rooms are designed to accommodate all kinds of guests, from groups of friends to families and solo travellers. It will also serve to provide information about Basque history, the urban regeneration of the Biscayan capital and what its future holds.
The chain is committed to responsible tourism with this property, which introduces a pioneering system that saves more than 50% in energy consumption. Its design minimises the consumption of electricity, air conditioning and the lift with high efficiency equipment. For example, it manages to produce hot water by exploiting the human heat produced in the rooms.
Líbere Hospitality is developing an ambitious strategic plan with the aim of exceeding 1,000 units by the end of 2022, focusing on the management of serviced flats as well as hotels and hostels.
The chain began operating its first property in December 2020 and, in just one year and despite the situation generated by Covid-19, it has managed to incorporate 11 new assets under management. This new asset is the second of its kind that the company currently operates, but it plans to manage more in the near term.
In 2022, it added three new assets under management to its portfolio, which now has 14 assets totalling over 640 units, including flats, hotel beds and hostels, in eight of Spain's main cities such as Madrid, Granada, Valencia and Bilbao.
