
Kempinski Hotels, is set to open a ski resort at Poiana Brasov in central Romania. The company ambitions to elevate the town into a year-round destination of choice for discerning travelers. Poised to be the first five-star hotel in the Transylvania region, this EUR 70 million project is brought to life by Rock Holding, a Bucharest-based developer known for its upscale residential ventures.
Bernold Schroeder, Chief Executive Officer of Kempinski Group and Chairman of the Management Board of Kempinski AG, expressed his excitement, stating, "The mountains of Eastern Europe are some of the most spectacular in the world, and we are thrilled to have found a new home in the enchanting village of Poiana Brasov. The Kempinski Poiana Brasov mountain resort will offer 120 lakeside rooms and suites, complemented by extensive spa and wellness facilities, drawing inspiration from the natural beauty of the Carpathian Mountains. Three dining establishments will tantalize guests with Romanian and international cuisine, while a conference center and event space with stunning mountain views will cater to corporate events and summer weddings.
The hotel's design will feature a sleek, contemporary facade with a minimal, naturalistic aesthetic, utilizing natural building materials and flowing organic lines that harmonize with the Carpathian landscape.
