IntercityHotel Zurich Airport expected to open for business in 2020.

The new IntercityHotel Zurich Airport, the first hotel to operate under the IntercityHotel brand in Switzerland, will have around 250 rooms. It will also offer a restaurant, a bar and conference facilities.

Following the recent signing of an agreement for the IntercityHotel Riyadh Malaz in Saudi Arabia, the brand is now also planning to strengthen its presence in Europe, with special interest in major airport locations.

IntercityHotel is a brand by Deutsche Hospitality, which comprises another two hotel brands under its umbrella: Steigenberger Hotels and Resorts and Jaz in the City. According to data published by Hospitality ON, Deutsche Hospitality had 100 properties in its portfolio, representing a capacity of more than 20,000 rooms.
