The INNSiDE by Meliá brand is making its debut in the centre of the Spanish city with the renovation of the Apolo hotel with an investment of 8 million euros by the hotel operator group.
Meliá Hotels International continues to promote its new lifestyle hotel proposal in Barcelona. After the opening in 2021 of the ME by Meliá hotel comes the turn of INNSiDE by Meliá, a brand that is currently experiencing sustained growth across various global destinations.
Following the renovation of the Apolo Hotel, located near the port of Barcelona, the Fira and Las Ramblas, the hotel will reopen at the beginning of April as the new INNSiDE Barcelona Apolo, breathing the identity of this brand thanks to the architectural project of ASAH (Álvaro Sans Arquitectura Hotelera).
Its 314 rooms have been completely renovated, including the spacious The Loft and The Townhouse, equipped with a yoga mat, Bluetooth speaker, USB socket and wireless charger, among others.
The renovation project also focused on creating new communal spaces to enhance the "life" inside the hotel. For example, the reception area has been transformed into an Open Living Lounge, a space open to interaction, which combines the possibility of working, sharing experiences with other guests, renting a bike to enjoy the city or buying a souvenir from a selection of local crafts and art.
The hotel is also introducing new dining concepts, such as the new Bite Box area, an informal bar and a 24-hour grab & go service. The hotel's restaurant, La Terraza, has also been completely renovated, creating an open space with an indoor terrace.
Business travellers are not left out with 1,200 square metres of flexible meeting and event space, also incorporating a new coworking space called The Kitchen and a state-of-the-art gym called Infit.
