[In Images] Minor Hotels launches Mekong Kingdoms cruises

The company announced the launch of a new style of river travel.

Dilip Rajakarier, Minor Hotels’ CEO explains that his guests are looking for unique travel experiences but also trips that "enhance the ambiance of the destinations".

Minor Hotels welcomes Mekong Kingdoms cruises which joins its existing fleet. It is already composed of Manohra Dining Cruises in Bangkok and Anantara Overnight Cruises sailing from Bangkok to Ayutthaya.

Mekong Kingdoms will be composed of 5 vessels:

  • Bohème, a 13-cabin top-of-the-range barge
  • Nomad, a 15-passenger cruise suitable for couples
  • Play, a floating lounge suitable for private events
  • Monsoon, a scheduled touring shuttle
  • Gypsy, a 2-cabin intimate cruise

The company offers cruises along the Mekong River from Thailand’s Golden Triangle to Luang Prabang (among other sites) mixing images of old Indochina, natural landscapes, mystical temples, etc.

As of January 1, 2017, Minor Hotel Group ranked 61st hotel group worldwide with 129 establishments totaling over 19,000 rooms, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
