Ikos Resorts signs its first acquisition in Spain, in Estepona.
The all-inclusive luxury chain has announced the purchase of the Costa del Sol Princess Hotel in Estepona, its first acquisition in the country. The property will take the name of Ikos Andalusia and will open its doors in May 2020. The investment for its acquisition and redevelopment should amount to 150 million euros.
"Estepona has always been a reference destination for travellers looking for the perfect combination of sun, sea, unique lifestyle and culture," said Ikos Iberia's new CEO Luis Herault.
The property will have 400 rooms and suites in seven buildings and 70,000 m² of gardens and leisure facilities. It will also offer 8 restaurants, a theatre, 4,000 m² of heated swimming pools and a spa.
Ikos Andalusia will become the company's fifth property, after the forthcoming opening of Ikos Dassia on the island of Corfu (Greece) in May 2018 and Ikos Aria on the island of Kos (Greece) in 2019.
