
IHG announced the opening of the InterContinental Fujairah Resort in Dibba, United Arab Emirates.
Fujairah, often referred to as the “Arabian Jewel”, is becoming more and more popular among tourists. IHG found in this region a good opportunity to expand its portfolio. Pascal Gauvin, IHG’s Chief Operating Officer, India, Middle East & Africa said to be “delighted to announce the opening of our first InterContinental Resort in the Middle East” and that it “marks an important milestone in our journey in this region”.
The InterContinental Fujairah Resort is a beachfront property, located on the edge of Al Aqah Beach with Hajar Mountains on the background.
The resort offers 190 rooms and suites including 44 Club Intercontinental Rooms and 38 suites, with balconies to enjoy the sea view. It comprises as well two restaurants, a family pool, kid and teen’s clubs, a gymnasium, O Spa by L’Occitane, four meeting rooms, a boardroom and a ballroom.
