IHG continues its expansion with the opening of Kimpton Hotel in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) in 2023.

InterContinental Hotels Group has signed a management agreement with LQ Retail Sdn Bhd to open Malaysia’s first Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants. The upscale boutique hotel brand Kimpton now operates 76 hotels, 85 restaurants, bars and lounges, located in about 50 cities.

The 471-room Kimpton Kuala Lumpur's lifestyle experience is aligned with Exchange TRX, the capital city’s new central business district. As Malaysia’s first international financial district and Kuala Lumpur’s future Central Business District (CBD), TRX will strengthen Kuala Lumpur’s position as a leading centre for international finance and business. It will feature residential, commercial, entertainment and events, complete with lifestyle offers which will be integrated with an activated 10-acre public park.

The property will feature three F&B outlets including a rooftop bar & restaurant with a swimming pool, and a deli-grocer café. There will be also a range of flexible meeting and event spaces to cater to small to large gatherings.
