InterContinental Hotels Group, opened its first boutique hotel under the Indigo brand in Cyprus, in the centre of Lanarca.
The 40 room property opened in the city centre, 5 minutes from the airport and close to St. Lazarus Church, the medieval castle and Finikoudes beach. The town of Lanarca is the fourth largest town on the island with more than 45,000 inhabitants, it is located in the south and belongs to the Republic of Cyprus.
Hotel Indigo Lanarca has joined the hotel portfolio of the Quality Group, one of the largest land development and investment companies in Cyprus, while being operated by the Sunnyseeker Hospitality company.
The structure combines tradition and modernity, with an architecture combining old Cypriot houses with contemporary construction. Its rooms are decorated with a combination of raw concrete, wooden furniture and yellow Mediterranean shutters, offering a terrace with a view of the bay of Lanarca. The ground floor consists of a restaurant serving local cuisine and a wine bar, while the rooftoop has a swimming pool and a bar.
With 119 Indigo Hotels announced to be open worldwide, the InterContinental group is now planning to open a further 104 units by 2022-2025, indicating a desire for intensive development of the chain in the coming years.
