InterContinental Hotels & Resorts has inaugurated its first property in the Greek islands with the opening of the InterContinental Crete. This opening strengthens the group's presence in the luxury and lifestyle sector on a global scale.

Nestled along Mirabello Bay, close to the lively coastal town of Agios Nikolaos, the hotel offers 199 rooms decorated in a contemporary style with details inspired by Cretan nature. Many options include private pools and sea views from furnished balconies.

Facilities at the InterContinental Crete include 2 outdoor infinity pools and 3 Mediterranean restaurants - ZEUS, KNOSSOS and MINOAN - led by Michelin-starred consultant chef Nikos Roussos. The Aegeo Spa offers a full range of treatments, while wellness facilities include a steam room, sauna and indoor pool.

"As we open the doors to InterContinental Crete, we are proud to introduce both InterContinental and IHG to the Greek Islands. InterContinental Crete celebrates the newly reimagined InterContinental brand evolution and brings to life a range of new initiatives for the modern luxury traveller. We are thrilled to set a new standard for luxury hospitality in the Greek isles as we connect guests with our culture through cutting-edge technology, innovative design, and the exceptional talents of our diverse team members at InterContinental Crete." - Nikolaos Iliadis, General Manager of InterContinental Crete
