InterContinental Hotels Group has opened a hotel under the Hotel Indigo brand in the heart of Cardiff.

The InterContinental Hotels Group's first hotel in Wales, under the Hotel Indigo brand, has opened in the heart of the Welsh capital.

Positioned close to the business district as well as key attractions within the city, the hotel, managed by Redefine|BDL Hotels (RBH), features 122 rooms and a fitness centre.

The hotel also features a rooftop restaurant by chef Marco Pierre White. The Steakhouse Bar & Grill, on the roof of the development, can host 90 diners and has views over the city.

As of January 1, 2017, InterContinental Hotels Group ranked as the world's 3rd largest hotel group with nearly 5,200 properties totaling more than 750,000 rooms, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
