IHG Hotels & Resorts today announced the opening of the first Holiday Inn in Armenia, the Holiday Inn Yerevan-Republic Square, under a management agreement with "SGI Invest" LTD.

Located in the city center, the hotel is housed in two historical buildings - the first was a gymnasium that was completed in the 19th century and the second was a library named after a famous Armenian poet, Avetik Isahakyan. It is within walking distance of some of the city's main attractions.

Holiday Inn Yerevan-Republic Square features 191 guest rooms and an open lobby designed to combine the hotel's public spaces, including the reception, restaurant, bar and lounge, into one cohesive open space to provide guests with a place to relax, eat and work. In addition, the hotel has a spa and health club, Cloud 7, with massage rooms, beauty treatments and a wide range of fitness equipment, as well as a 25-meter pool, whirlpool, sauna, steam room and salt room. The Cloud 7 Terrace Bar & Lounge is adjacent.

We are excited to open the doors to our first guests. Yerevan has so much to offer tourists and business travelers, and the hotel is an excellent choice for those looking to stay in the capital.

Martin Driskell, general manager of Holiday Inn Yerevan-Republic Square
