InterContinental Hotels Group open their second Holiday Inn Express, in South Korea

The doors have opened at the Holiday Inn Express Suwon Ingye, in the South Korean city of Suwon. This is the group’s second Holiday Inn Express in south Korea, joining their first which is situated 30 kilometres north in the capital, Seoul.

The new 14-storey building, isutated close to both the business district and tourist attractions will consist of 249 rooms, a restaurant, gym and a meeting room. Many of the hotel rooms will have views overlooking Suwon.

Clarence Tan, Chief Operating Officer, South East Asia & Korea, IHG commented: "Holiday Inn Express is one of our fastest growing hotels - providing a smarter travel experience to those who rest-and-go. Today's opening marks our first in Suwon and adds to our IHG portfolio of nine hotels in South Korea,".

As of January 1, 2017, InterContinental Hotels Group ranked as the world's 3rd largest hotel group with nearly 5,200 properties totaling more than 750,000 rooms, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
