Holiday Inn continues to expand in Australia

The British group continues to grow its Holiday Inn brand with the addition of a hotel in Werribee, Melbourne.

InterContinental Hotels Group has announced the opening of Holiday Inn Werribee in Melbourne. In partnership with Pelligra Group and Citinova, they expect to open the hotel in 2020.

In the heart of Werribee’s CBD the hotel will form part of a mixed-use development project which will include offices and retail space. The hotel will consist of 150 rooms, a restaurant, bar, gym, 300 square metres of meeting facilities including a function room for up to 400 people.

As of January 1, 2017, IHG ranked 3rd worldwide hotel group with 5,174 establishments totaling over 760,000 rooms, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
