This opening marks a key stage in the Hilton Group's expansion project on the Côte d'Azur. Located within the Iconic complex, this new hotel DoubleTree by Hilton Nice Centre Iconic was built by the Compagnie de Phalsbourg teams and designed by architect Daniel Libeskind / Studio Libeskind.
The opening of this hotel follows those of UNIQLO and MONOPRIX in April 2024, further enhancing the appeal of the centre of Nice. The Iconic complex, which won an award for innovation at the Pierres d'Or Innovative Programme 2024, is a multifunctional urban hub that includes shops, schools, a pharmacy and now a 4-star hotel.
The DoubleTree by Hilton Nice Centre Iconic offers 105 rooms, including family rooms for up to five people. Guest check-in is on the fifth floor and facilities include a modern fitness centre, event space, terrace and bar with panoramic views of the Mediterranean coastline. A restaurant will also open in September 2024, adding a new culinary dimension to the hotel's offering.
The new property joins the region's other Hilton hotels, Canopy by Hilton Cannes and Columbus Hotel Monte-Carlo, Curio Collection by Hilton, strengthening the group's presence on the Côte d'Azur, as David Heijligers, Managing Director of Development for Hilton France and Benelux, explains in a Hospitality ON interview.
"We are delighted to expand our portfolio on the Côte d'Azur, introducing the fast-growing DoubleTree by Hilton brand to this popular destination. Nice continues to attract millions of visitors each year as one of France's greatest cities, with its UNESCO World Heritage status, excellent transport links and beautiful coastal setting. Whether for business or leisure, guests can expect a warm welcome combined with contemporary accommodation at the DoubleTree by Hilton Nice Centre Iconic." - David Kelly, Senior Vice President, Continental Europe, Hilton
