The group intends to make a mark in northeast China.

Hilton wants to settle in Shenyang, a city known for its history and the emergence of its commercial activity. "Shenyang, is not only the largest city and business epicentre in northeast China, but also a historically important metropolis with its own rich culture," said Sean Wooden, vice president, brand management, Asia Pacific, Hilton.

Hilton Shenyang is featured for both leisure and business travellers. It has 329 guest rooms including 16 suites as well as three world-class restaurants. Moreover, it offers relaxation facilities: a swimming pool, an outdoor garden, a health club; and a conference venue.

As of January 1, 2017, Hilton ranked second hotel group worldwide with 4,875 properties for a total of 796,000 rooms, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
