The Hotel Antiga Casa Buenavista is a perfect example of hospitality's passion. The property opens its doors in a building built and owned by the Molleví family since 1918.

Formerly a restaurant, it now supplies 43 rooms decorated to preserve the soul of the place. The owners have also given a second life to the Casa Buenavista restaurant, which closed in the mid-1970s.

The property features a roof top with a swimming pool as well as a restaurant and meeting rooms.

A passionate family that will be heard of again, as they hold one of the last hotel property licenses granted by the Barcelona City Council before the moratorium introduced in 2015 for the central area of the Catalan capital. The property is located in the Ciutat Vella district.

The icing on the cake is that the building is built on a former monastery discovered during renovation work, which delayed the opening of the property pending archaeological excavations. It took 20 years for the great grandchildren of the founders, accompanied by their father, to bring the hotel property to life.
