Hilton has announced the opening of Legacy Hotel Cascais, Curio Collection by Hilton, the brand's third property in Portugal, joining Boeira Garden Hotel Porto Gaia and The Emerald House Lisbon. This new addition is part of the Curio Collection by Hilton brand's European expansion strategy.
Located in the seaside resort of Cascais, 28 kilometers from Lisbon, the Legacy Hotel Cascais, Curio Collection by Hilton offers 59 rooms. Combining modern design with a certain opulence, it pays tribute to the history of Cascais, known as a summer retreat for European royalty and nobility since 1890, during the reign of King Louis I.
The hotel features indoor and outdoor pools, as well as a spa, the Legacy Spa by Wake, which offers three treatment rooms, a sauna and a modern fitness center. Ristorante Don Alfonso 1890 at the Legacy Hotel Cascais combines traditional dishes from the Sorrento Peninsula and the Amalfi Coast.
The hotel offers a variety of activities all year round. The resort is also renowned for surfing and sailing, as well as for its lively nightlife with numerous restaurants and luxury bars around the marina. Cascais is also home to the Casino Estoril, which inspired the first James Bond novel, "Casino Royale", written by Ian Flemming.
