Scheduled for 2023, Leeu Collection’s new luxurious hotel Collegio alla Querces will be in Florence. Auberge Resorts Collection, an award-winning brand known for its luxury hotels has been chosen to manage the forthcoming hotel.
Auberge Resorts Collection, a well-known brand in the luxury accommodation market, has been appointed by Leeu Collection to manage the future hotel Collegio alla Querce. The property will open in 2023 and will be located in the north of Florence, in the historical district of the city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located three miles away from the Duomo di Firenze and next to many museums, art-galleries and restaurants, the upcoming hotel will give its clients an easy access to Italian culture.
A former boarding school turned into an hotel, Collegio alla Querce, Auberge Resorts Collection, will be made of three 16th-century buildings, notably a chapel and a theatre. Extensive work will be conducted, and several landscapers will be enlisted to renovate the property while preserving its history, architecture, and gardens.
The design of the hotel is to be simple yet refined just like a country house. The company Esteva i Esteva has been chosen to create a design that maintain the original charm of the buildings while bringing them a modern and contemporary look. For the 61 rooms and 21 suites, a design which combines High Renaissance art with modern Italian design has been used. Facilities such as an outdoor pool, a wine cellar, a spa, a gym, and several art-galleries will be included in the hotel. Dining options will comprise several restaurants, one of them will be located amongst the olive trees. It will also be possible to request private chefs and to attend cooking classes. Meeting rooms will also be available for the workers.
