A fifth citizenM hotel should open next year in the City of Light, in the heart of the Opera district.
Located in the centre of Paris, this new hotel will be located on rue du Croissant, a few minutes' walk from the famous Opéra Garnier. Work on this future property is progressing well, with the structural work on the building, carried out by the Hardel Le Bihan architectural firm, completed in March 2022.
However, the citizenM Opéra is not expected to open its doors until 2023, as no precise date has yet been communicated by the lifestyle brand. In order to meet the needs of both travellers and locals, the 84-room hotel will offer work and relaxation areas, including a bar and a canteenM, open 24/7.
After the successful launch of the citizenM Paris Champs-Élysées last year, we are delighted to add a fifth hotel in Paris, in the vibrant Opera district.
Klaas Van Lookeren, CEO of citizenM
The new property will join citizenM's Paris portfolio, which already includes hotels near Paris-CDG airport and in the La Défense and Gare de Lyon areas as well as on the Champs Elysées.
Currently, citizenM's global portfolio includes 24 hotels in 16 cities: London, Glasgow, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Paris, Copenhagen, Zurich, Geneva, New York, Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington, Taipei and Kuala Lumpur.
