Checkin Hotels is set to open its fifth hotel in Lanzarote, Canary Islands, which will be the second property under its Bakour Hotels & Resorts brand.
This new property has been designed as a family resort with all the facilities and services adapted to this type of often very demanding clientele. The resort is scheduled to open in June.
The new 4-star Bakour Lanzarote Splash will not be built from scratch, as the project owners have decided to renovate the old Apartahotel Puerto del Carmen to create this new resort.
In addition, the water parks will be the star element of the complex, with six slides, a pirate ship with slides, jets and waterfall area, parasols, palm trees and a water playground.
Because of its facilities and services, this family resort will be part of the Bakour Hotels & Resorts brand, a brand of accommodation "designed exclusively for fun and relaxation", according to the chain.
This opening is part of Checkin Hotels' expansion plan, which last year unveiled two new hotels under the DWO Hotels brand in Madrid, aimed more at an urban and adult clientele.
