NYX settles in Spain for the second time and announces its plans for Europe.

The Israeli hotel chain Leonardo Hotels has chosen the Basque region to open its new hotel in Spain, following a first one that opens in Madrid in March 2018.

The building on Calle Arsenal was operating under the name Hotel Inglaterra (Hotel England). It will be renovated before the end of 2018 and plans to open its doors in early 2019.

Located near the Guggenheim Museum, the property will offer 105 rooms, a restaurant, a bar and a gym. Its design is inspired by the city’s street art.

The company defined ambitious goals with the NYX brand, as Daniel Roger, CEO of Leonardo Hotels Europe, said: "Within the next five years, we want to open at least 20 NYX Hotels in Europe".

As of January 1, 2017, Leonardo Hotels ranked 111th hotel chain worldwide with 98 establishments for a total of 18,000 rooms, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
