The Barceló Cappadocia, located in the town of Ortahisar, marks the opening of the Spanish group's 4th hotel in Turkey and its first in the famous Cappadocia region.
This new 5-star property features 170 rooms, including 19 deluxe rooms in caves dug into the rock.
The offer is completed by a wellness centre with spa, an outdoor swimming pool, a convention centre for private and business events and a rooftop restaurant serving Mediterranean cuisine.
The hotel is located in the town of Ortahisar and has an architecture that reflects the culture and tradition of Cappadocia, with noble materials and colours that characterise this region of Asia Minor, complemented by carved stone details.
We are delighted to announce the opening of the Barceló Cappadocia. Our aim is for the Barceló hotel group to make further progress in Turkey, attracting the interest of tourists of different nationalities, both from Europe and Latin America, and thus becoming an attractive and different destination linked to modern luxury in Cappadocia.
Hasan Ekmen, Regional Director of Barceló in Turkey
The Spanish group currently operates four hotels in the country: in addition to the one in Cappadocia, Barceló has two hotels in Istanbul and one in Ankara, with a total of 690 rooms.
Turkey is a strategic country for the group's projects, where it has already invested more than 70 million euros and plans to expand into other urban destinations such as Izmir, Bursa and Konya, as well as holiday destinations such as Antalya, Alanya and Bodrum.
