The Aman Rosa Alpina hotel can be found in San Cassiano, amid UNESCO-protected Dolomite Mountains.
After opening the Aman Venice hotel in partnership with the Arrivabene Family, householders of the Papadopoli Palazzo for over 200 years, Aman Resorts International carries on its development in the country on a similar mode. This time, the group partners up with the Pizzinini Family, owner and resident of the Rosa Alpina hotel since 1939.
Aman, is set to reopen the historic Rosa Alpina hotel in San Cassiano, South Tyrol, under the new name Aman Rosa Alpina on July 24, 2025. Following extensive renovations, the property offers a refined blend of Alpine heritage and luxury, catering to both relaxation and adventure seekers.
The hotel will feature 50 rooms, including two new 150-square-meter Aman Suites and a redesigned 280-square-meter Chalet Zeno. The design, led by renowned architect Jean-Michel Gathy, incorporates natural materials that emphasize the region’s heritage while reflecting the clean aesthetics of the Aman brand. The Pizzinini family, who have managed the property for three generations, will continue their stewardship.
Guests can enjoy a range of dining experiences, including an Italian grill restaurant, a wine library, and a planned Japanese restaurant for the winter season. Wellness facilities are expanded with three pools, a whirlpool, private cinemas, and dedicated spaces for children and teens. The ski lounge offers ski rentals, heated boot racks, and direct access to the Dolomiti Superski area during the winter months.
Having long followed Aman’s pioneering approach to hospitality, we are proud to be partnering with a brand whose family ethos aligns so well with ours. We look forward to embarking on this new chapter for Rosa Alpina, with Aman as the trusted guardians of our legacy. - Hugo Pizzinini, Rosa Alpina Managing Director
Aman has always prided itself on offering unique experiences in remarkable settings and our partnership with Rosa Alpina will deliver just this. We are fortunate to have the opportunity to work with the Pizzinini family, in particular Hugo and Ursula, and we look forward to maintaining and celebrating the history of the property all while uniting it with Aman’s philosophy. We will unveil Rosa Alpina as Aman Rosa Alpina in 2022 in what will be our 14th UNESCO site.- Vladislav Doronin, Chairman and CEO of Aman
