Plaza Athénée Hotel

After a difficult month of October, the performance recorded in November for the hospitality industry follow a new upward trend. This trend is even more pronounced for Upper Upscale and Luxury hotels. Indeed, Parisian Palaces displayed an increase in attendance of more than 8 points. Since the closure of Plaza Athénée in October, delaying clientele is made for the benefit of other Palaces. Some events, such as Milipol Exhibition which was held from November 19 to 22 at the Parc des Expositions of Villepinte, allowed hoteliers to increase their business and attract an international clientele. Middle-East customers, especially Qatar, was also present in numbers for the nomination of Qatar to host the World Expo 2022. On the French Riviera, the performance of Upper Upscale hotels also rose but to a lesser extent. If hotel occupancy increased 5.6 points, average prices are stable which ultimately leads to a growth of nearly 15% in RevPAR.
