MKG Hospitality’s localized market studies in the perimeter around the Parisian suburb of Villepinte show that the Maison & Objet trade show had its effect on business results.

This tradeshow is for interior decorators and it is held annually. This year’s event brought many visitors to hotels around the Paris Nord Villepinte convention centre and increased occupancy rates to levels raised only by the Bourget Airshow. Occupancy rates went up to a very airshow-like 87.9%, less than a percentage-point up from the previous year. Average Daily Rate (ADR) went up by 3.8% and surpassed 120 euros (vat included), which is high for this perimeter. Naturally, RevPAR went up by 4.6% to reach 106.20 euros (VAT included). Most of the clientele included the exhibitors and their teams. International visitors to the French capital mostly flocked to Paris-proper, as the Haute Couture Fashion week overlapped the end of the Maison & Objet trade show.
