Ombria resort is a sustainable and eco-friendly project located near the Portuguese city of Loulé, int the Algarve hinterland. It will include the first private residence of the Viceroy Hotels & Resorts brand in Europe.
Located just outside the town of Loulé, in the Algarve, and at 20 minutes from Faro Airport, Ombria Resort is a new premium and eco-friendly destination developed by the Finnish developer Pontos Group. Imagined and designed as a typical Algarve village, Ombria extends over 153 hectares. Its construction started in December 2019 and its first phase is expected to complete in the beginning of 2022.
Ombria Resort will include the Viceroy Residences with 65 fully furnished apartments integrated into the five-star hotel Viceroy at Ombria Resort. The one or twoo-bedrooms apartments will cover an area of 73 to 174 m² including a kitchen, a living room, one or two bedrooms, bathrooms, and balconies. Some of them will have a garden. private, swimming pool or jacuzzi.
The branded private residences will be sold in full ownership from € 368,050. Owners are set to benefits from privileged access to the hotel’s facilities as well as a guaranteed rental return of 5% for the first five years (net of tax and exclusive of tax). They will also have the possibility to benefit from their apartment for up to 10 weeks a year.
The interior design of the Viceroy Residences is inspired by local traditions including locally produced materials and objects. In the bedrooms, the blue / white color combination is similar to the motifs of the famous Portuguese earthenware tile. The architecture and decoration of the residences are designed by WATG and Wimberly Interiors (Belmond Venice Simplon-Orient Express, Fairmont Taghazout, Belmond Reid’s Palace...)
The resort will also include of the five-star hotel Viceroy at Ombria Resort, an 18-hole golf course, a conference center, a spa, a kids club, heated swimming pools, 6 restaurants and apartments, townhouses and the Alcedo Villas, a collection of 12 private villas.
