The Hilton Group plans to add three new locations to its portfolio in Portugal, in three different collections and three different cities.
Following the recent announcement of the opening of the Sé Catedral Hotel - Tapestry Collection in Porto in 2021, these three new projects in Portugal, with a combined value of 60 million euros, confirm the Hilton Group's interest in the Iberian Peninsula: in Portugal a total of 4 hotels are open and 8 more are planned. In Spain, the Group already has 14 properties and plans to open several more in the coming years, including the arrival of new Hilton collections on the Spanish market.
Patrick Fitzgibbon, Senior Vice President, Development, EMEA, Hilton, said :
With over 24 million visitors last year, Portugal is perfectly positioned to capture the pent-up consumer demand when returning from international travel. New hotels represent a significant investment and we are working closely with exceptional partners to bring new properties to some of Portugal's most dynamic tourist destinations, including the first Hilton hotels in the Azores and Cascais.
