After a major restoration, the Guanahani St. Barth, which was scheduled to reopen in the spring of 2021, will now be managed by Rosewood Hotels & Resorts. The hotel, which has been closed since 2017 due to natural disasters such as Hurricanes Irma and Maria, will reopen as Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth. The brand already has three hotels in the area, one located in the Caribbean and the other in the French West Indies, and is in full expansion.
In 1986, Le Guanahani opened its doors. David M. Schawrz, architect, created the interior design of Luis Pons Design Lab, an authentic heritage of the French Caribbean whose characteristics are the turquoise hues inspired by Caribbean water, yellow reflecting the tropical sun and lavender as a nod to the south of France.

Martin Van Wagenberg will continue as General Manager of Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth. This is a return to his roots as the General Manager has held positions within Rosewood Resort.
Rosewood's portfolio today includes Rosewood Baha Mar in the Bahamas, Rosewood Bermuda and Rosewood Little Dix Bay in Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands. Rosewood Half Moon Bay in Antigua will join the portfolio in 2023.
