Park Hyatt London River Thames hotel to represent the Hyatt growing brand presence in the U.K.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced that a Hyatt affiliate has entered into management agreement with R&F UK for a new Hyatt-branded hotel in London. R&F Properties is one of the world’s largest luxury five-star hotel owner, operating over 30,000 rooms and mainly develops luxury projects.

The Park Hyatt London River Thames, expected to open in 2022, will offer 203 rooms and will be located within R&F UK’s Nine Elms development. The Nine Elms district is located in the south of London, on the south bank of the Thames and directly opposite Westminster. The district’s development by R&F UK will lead to the creation of 18 buildings, which will include 2,300 high quality apartments, more than 11,150 m² of commercial space and numerous shops and restaurants, including One Thames City, an exclusive new riverside development comprising of premium residences, hotels, shops, park and restaurants. The shaping of this regeneration program is expected in the next 2 years. Furthermore, by the time the hotel opens, the Northern Line London Underground extension should be operational, with an entrance located within a few minutes’ walk of the hotel. The line will link Nine Elms with the city and West End in under 15 minutes. The future hotel will offer guests the possibility to be close to the new U.S. Embassy, to explore Sloane Square and vibrant Kings Road, to visit the Tate Britain and to stroll in the 200-acre Battersea Park and to discover the Kia Oval cricket ground. Besides, the future project will provide personalized experience for business and government travellers and a large ballroom in order to host private and public events.

The Hyatt brand is already well developed in the U.K. and the future hotel will join Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill, Hyatt Regency Birmingham, Hyatt Regency Manchester and Hyatt House Manchester, Andaz London Liverpool Street, Hyatt Place London Heathrow Airport, Hyatt Place West London Hayes and Great Scotland Yard Hotel, which is part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand. In addition, several Hyatt hotels are under development such as Hyatt Regency Edinburgh Marina, Hyatt Place London City East and Hyatt Centric Cambridge, all expected to open within the next two years. The addition of the hotel to the U.K. market means Hyatt’s continued brand growth into Europe’s leading cities.
