Originality, audacity and offbeatness are once again the words that best describe the new project of the Mama Shelter brand, a brand new hotel in the French capital and more precisely in the La Défense business district.
The adventure of the Mama Shelter brand began in the City of Light in 2008 with the opening of Mama Shelter Paris East in the 20th arrondissement. The Trigano family behind this new resolutely modern and innovative brand has been breaking the codes of the classic hotel industry ever since by offering products that are always very offbeat. In 2019, Paris saw a second property of the brand open its doors in the 15th arrondissement called Mama Shelter Paris West.
This year, it is the turn of the La Défense district to welcome the Trigano family's new project. The Mama Shelter Paris La Défense hotel is due to open its doors in March 2022. The property will have no less than 211 rooms, 3 restaurants and a rooftop offering a breathtaking view of the capital.
Mama Shelter is a unique place to live that challenges the codes. Mama brings light, life and dare we say it... a bit like an oasis in the desert. The choice to open a Mama in La Défense proves once again the audacity and strength of the brand. We are going to push the boundaries, to give colour and joy to the locals and travellers in search of emotion and authenticity.

The 14-storey building housing the innovative group's new concept has been completely redesigned and restructured by the Mama Design Studio. It is also located just a few metres from the famous Grande Arche, an emblematic monument in the area.
Guests are greeted on the hotel's forecourt by an American-style illuminated sign that signals the presence of a restaurant in the spirit of an authentic diner with its acidic colours, typical cuisine and characteristic furniture.
The experience continues in the escalator that leads to the reception area, which initially plunges visitors into darkness, only to discover neon lighting with meteorite, shooting star and planet patterns. The lobby is decorated with a space-themed carpet. A truly immersive experience in the cosmos for guests.
The first floor features a pub-style sports bar with a multitude of screens showing live sports from around the world, as well as a corner with arcade games, the Mama Shop and a laundry area. Guests can also use one of the 6 highly equipped meeting rooms, known here as the Ateliers, to organise meetings, conferences and other seminars.
Finally, the 14th and last floor houses the property's famous rooftop, which offers a panoramic view of La Défense as well as many of Paris's most emblematic monuments such as the Eiffel Tower, Montmartre and the Montparnasse Tower. This rooftop has a panoramic restaurant with an open kitchen.
The Mama Shelter Paris La Défense is the best of all worlds: it is located in the commune of Puteaux and thus offers the life of a real village with its shops, cafés and restaurants. But it also backs onto La Défense, just a few metres from the largest concentration of offices in Europe. This makes it the ideal place to get away from it all at the end of the day without having to go too far. And for visitors to Paris, it's just 5 metro stops from the most beautiful avenue in the world: the Champs Élysées. Mama couldn't miss this location to continue bringing bubbles of happiness to all its fans!
