The Nobu Hospitality brand will soon open its brand new hotel which will be located in Greece and more precisely on the island of Santorini where thousands of tourists from all over the world visit every year.
In spring 2022, a new hotel is set to open on the famous island of Santorini, one of Greece's most popular tourist destinations. It will be the first hotel of the Nobu Hospitality brand in the country, a lifestyle brand founded by Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro and Meir Tepern. The property is soberly named Nobu Hotel and Restaurant Santorini.
The boutique hotel will be located on the northeast coast of the island, along the famous Oia-Fira footpath that connects Oia to Santorini's bustling town of Fira. As the name suggests, the resort not only has a restaurant, but also a spa and fitness area, a two-storey infinity pool and five luxury villas with private pools. The hotel's undeniable asset is the panoramic view of the caldera and the Aegean Sea.
To complete this new project, Nobu Hospitality has entered into a long-term management agreement with MonteRock International (MRI), a group with more than 25 years of experience in a number of key sectors including hotels, media, food and beverage and real estate.
The opening of this hotel marks the 26th hotel in the world and the 10th on the European continent for the Nobu Hospitality brand. Further openings are expected to be announced soon with hotels under construction in Rome, San Sebastian and Hamburg. The brand's European expansion continues, demonstrating its ambition to be present across the continent.
We are very excited to be coming to Santorini and to work with the local community on this exciting project. Santorini is one of the most highly regarded destinations in the world with its rare beauty, famed for its distinctive cuisine, whitewashed architecture set with a backdrop of steep cliffs, and dramatic sunsets lighting the sea and sky. We look forward to inviting locals and international travellers alike to experience the Nobu lifestyle in this special destination.
