The luxury brand of IHG, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, will open its first property in France this spring, in the Opera district of Paris.
Kimpton St Honoré Paris will give new life to the heritage building that once housed the "Samaritaine de Luxe" department store. Located on the Boulevard des Capucines, in the Opera district of Paris, the hotel will have 149 rooms (including 24 suites), an indoor swimming pool, a gym and spa with luxury treatment rooms, and a terrace bar with a 360-degree view of the city on the roof of the tenth floor. Its original Art Nouveau facade dating back to 1917, its period staircase and elevator will be restored and French interior designer Charles Zana will design and decorate the hotel's interiors inspired by the Art Deco of the 1930s.
Jean-Paul Dantil has been appointed Managing Director of Kimpton St Honoré Paris.
Recent Kimpton openings include Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok, Kimpton Shinjuku Tokyo, Kimpton Clocktower Hotel in Manchester, UK and Kimpton Vividora Hotel in Barcelona. The brand is also expected to make its debut in Bali this year, and other hotels are planned in Germany, Mexico, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong and the Netherlands over the next 2 to 5 years.
