In the spring of 2022, Prague will welcome a so-called hybrid hotel property of a nascent brand, The Julius.
A wind of innovation is blowing through the city of Prague with the imminent opening this spring of a property under the brand name The Julius, a brand created under the initiative of the Viennese family Julius Meinl, originally specialising in gastronomy. This new brand aims to revolutionise the hospitality sector, in particular by developing an offer that is perfectly in line with the emerging expectations of customers.
The Julius Prague consists of 168 residences designed for both short and long stays, depending on the needs of the traveller. The apartment-like residences have a living room and a separate bedroom, and the majority have an open kitchen.
The property will be equipped with technological tools that allow guests to check-in themselves, as well as touchless entries to the rooms. Also, the offers are tailored to the needs and preferences of the guest, such as the possibility of having an individual address for deliveries or the disposal of detailed guides to get around the city like a local.
Various shops will complete the offer, as well as restaurants stocked with Julius Meinl products, thus highlighting the family's primary expertise, which has built its reputation through gastronomy.
The Julius Prague is the brand's first property, housed in an art deco building and designed entirely by Italian architects Matteo Thun & Partners. The famous works of Alphonse Mucha inspired the colour palette chosen for the decoration of the residences, the common areas and the restaurants. At the heart of the property is a winter garden with a skylight.

The brand, although very recent, does not hide its ambitions and already plans to open two other properties of the same type in Belgrade and Budapest. Destinations that have seen their tourist numbers increase considerably in recent years, as has Prague.
Central Europe seems to be the market targeted for the moment by the creators of The Julius, who are concentrating on it. However, they do not seem to exclude the European market in its entirety as well as the American market for the future development of the brand.
