Ginger, a subsidiary of The Indian Hotels Company Limited, has signed two new hotels in Kochi, a city in the state of Kerala, thereby strengthening its presence in southwest India.
The two new hotels will be located at Kochi Airport and Kalamassery Shopping Centre respectively.
The Ginger Kochi Airport
Located on the road to Karaid Airport, just outside Cochin International Airport (CIA), the hotel will be equipped with 100 rooms. The hotel is a "greenfield" project to meet the demand of the airport, the MICE of the CIA convention center and the surrounding industrial areas.
The Ginger Kochi Kalamassery
Located on the Kochi-Salem highway, opposite the Cochin University subway station, the hotel will have 75 rooms. The project is at the stage of industrial wasteland. The subway station will provide convenient access to the Cochin Special Economic Zone and the Kalamassery Shopping Center which is home to IT companies and key industries, Cochin University and the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium.
Guests will be able to take advantage of an all-day restaurant, meeting rooms and a fitness center at both hotels.
It is a proud moment for us. With these two signings, we enter Kochi – an important focus market for Ginger. These hotels will cater to distinct and high demand micro-markets of Kochi. We are delighted to partner with Canton Residency Private Limited for these projects.
