A new 5-star hotel for the Barceló Hotel Group in the Canfranc international train station; the long-awaited opening of the Cheval Blanc Paris at the Samaritaine: historic places invested by hoteliers

The Barceló group has more than 250 4 and 5-star hotels in 22 countries. The second largest hotel group in Spain, Barceló focuses on urban and holiday hotels through its four brands : Royal Hideaway, Barceló Hotels&Resorts, Occidental Hotels&Resorts and allegro Hotels.

The group's new 5-star hotel will be located in the former Canfranc station in Huesca, Spain, and is expected to open by winter 2022. It will be marketed under the brand Royal Hideaway, a brand focused on the authenticity of the destination and the place, an adaptation of the classic combined with the contemporary. A brand that is synonymous of experiences for its future customers.

The hotel will be divided into three levels, with the reception in the historic station hall, a library, a restaurant and a wellness area with swimming pool on the ground floor. The 100 rooms and 4 suites of the hotel will be located on the first and second floors of this emblematic 20th century building.

In this week's not-to-be-missed openings, the Cheval Blanc Paris opens its doors this 7th of September.  With 72 keys (26 rooms and 46 suites), 4 restaurants and the Spa Dior. Designed as a Parisian residence by the interior designer Peter Marino, the Cheval Blanc Paris, the latest hotel of the LVMH group, is located in the emblematic Samaritaine building. In addition to suites ranging from 350m² to 650m² and a 1000m² flat, the hotel has a 650m² terrace that houses the contemporary brasserie "Le Tout-Paris".

In terms of cuisine, chef Arnaud Donckele (chef of the Vague d'Or in Saint-Tropez) has been chosen for the first-floor gourmet restaurant "Plénitude" and "La Table de Partage". The hotel also has an Italian restaurant, "Langosteria", and a bar named "Limbar".

In terms of other announced openings in Paris, a 76-room hotel with a Spa and a 25-metre long swimming pool, the Bulgari Hotel, will open this year at 30 avenue George V; as will Laurent Taïeb's new hotel, Madame Rêve, at 48 rue du Louvre.
