Hyatt announced on January 6, 2021 the opening of the Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh, the first Hyatt hotel in the Cambodian capital and the second Hyatt hotel in operation in Cambodia.
Located in the heart of the cultural and business district of Doun Penh, 30 minutes by car from the airport and within walking distance of the Royal Palace and the National Museum, the new building has 14 floors and 247 rooms (including 43 residential-style suites).
Designed by architects SCDA and PIA Interior, the hotel's interiors blend Khmer architecture with French colonial influences, and the artwork was commissioned by contemporary Cambodian artist FONKi.
The Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh offers four dining venues: the Market Café Restaurant & Lounge, open all day long, the Metropole Underground, an early 20th century bar, and an old-fashioned bar, The Attic, specializing in artisanal cocktails and fine wines. On the rooftop, the FiveFive Rooftop Restaurant & Bar offers local meat and seafood, as well as a range of cocktails, DJ performances, all with a view of the Royal Palace, the Mekong River and the city.
With 1,400 square meters of meeting and event space, the Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh can host conferences. It features a ballroom, nine suites and an outdoor gathering area, the Poolhouse.
The third floor features an outdoor pool, poolside bar, Himalayan salt works and steam room, as well as a 24-hour gym and spa. Guests staying on the 10th floor have access to the Regency Club lounge where they can enjoy a variety of services.
