Hyatt Hotels Corporation pursues its brand growth in Southern Europe with the opening of the Andaz Hotel Lisbon. The 169 rooms and more luxury hotel is scheduled for 2024 and will be the second Hyatt-branded hotel in Lisbon following the planned opening of Hyatt Regency Lisbon in 2022.
Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced that one of its affiliates has entered into a management agreement with Feuring Hotel Lissabon GmbH & Co. KG to open the first Andaz hotel in Lisbon in 2024.
Located at the center of Lisbon’s bustling Baixa district, Andaz Lisbon will comprise of five separate buildings including the former offices of the Banco Português de Investimento (BPI), one of the major banks in Portugal. The 169 guest rooms will be in the central building. The surrounding four buildings will offer guests various private suites.
Besides its location in a historic 18th century building, the hotel will benefit from a locally inspired architecture and design, led by the architects Andreas Mörschel and Pedro Reis as well as Bastir Interior Design.
Hyatt continues to develop the Andaz brand in Europe. The Lisbon property will be the 6th on the continent. Others include the Andaz Munich Schwabinger Tor, Andaz Vienna Am Belvedere, Andaz London Liverpool Street, Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht and Andaz Prague, which is expected to open in 2022.
Andaz is a luxury and lifestyle hotels brand launched by Hyatt Hotels Corporation in April 2007. The first Andaz hotel was the Great Eastern Hotel in London, followed by hotels in San Diego, West Hollywood, Shanghai, and New York City. Its portfolio currently includes 25 properties.
