The future hotel, located in the heart of London City, is part of the growth strategy of property developer Dominvs. Work has already begun and is expected to be completed in July 2023.
The London-based group proceeded to purchase the building, which was previously occupied by the 4-star Arbor City Hotel, in late 2018. Subsequently, planning was granted the same year for a new hotel to be operated under the Hampton by Hilton brand. The purchase is part of London-based Dominvs Group's hotel project, which is wiling to support the recovery of the hotel business by implementing an aggressive growth strategy for the next 12 months.
The project involves a complete renovation of the five-storey structure, which dates back to the 1960s, using different types of bricks and bronze frames on the windows. It also includes the extension of the adjacent parking lot. Once the work is completed, led by the main contractor: McAleer and Rushe, the hotel will offer 278 guest rooms, meeting space, a movie theater as well as a banquet hall.
Founded in 2011, Dominvs is a privately held group of companies that focuses on the hospitality, residential and commercial sectors in the United Kingdom. The group has become a market leading real estate platform with capabilities spanning acquisition, design, planning, development and asset management.
