After welcoming guests for private stays since mid-December, Four Season Resort Seychelles, located on Desroches Island, fully opened its doors on March 15, 2021.
In the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, the resort first reopened its doors in mid-December to welcome its most loyal guests for private retreats and stays, especially its presidential villa and a few other rooms. In recent months, guests have had exclusive access to Desroches Island.
As of March 15, 2021, Seychelles reopened its international borders to all countries except South Africa allowing guests from around the world to once again access the Resort on Desroches Island. Located in the Amirantes Islands of the Seychelles, the private Desroches Island is accessible via a 35-minutes scenic domestic flight from Mahé (the main island of the Seychelles archipelago). Thanks to a private landing strip, guests descend and enter directly into the resort.
Beginning March 15, scheduled domestic flights to Desroches will operate on Thursdays and Saturdays, while private charter flights will be available daily. Private jets will also be welcomed back to Seychelles with prior government approval.
The Four Seasons Resort Seychelles is the only resort on the 6.4 kilometer long island. It is the largest of the Amirante Islands. The resort offers pool villas ranging from one to seven bedrooms. With a wide range of activities available on the island, guests have the freedom to plan each day according to their desires. Fishing, kayaking and surfing are just a few of the many water sports available on the island. While on land, tennis, native tree planting and stargazing is availabel.
